Nociceptive pain is the result of an injury inflammation of a body part and physical pressure However this kind of pain is further decided into two parts and it’s depending on where the pain originates.

A receptor called nociceptor exists solely for the purpose to feel all pain that your body experiences. This type of pain can happen due to physical damage or mechanical damage to parts of the body. And it can also detect thermal and chemical pain caused by toxic or hazardous chemicals and extreme temperatures.

There are two categories of nociceptive pain. Somatic pain and visceral pain. Although both pains are detected by the same types of nerves, they do not feel the same. However, the triggers for each type can be similar. So let’s discuss both pains.

Somatic pain

Somatic pain is that pain originates in your arms, legs, face, muscles, tendons, and extrinsic areas of the body pain. This kind of pain comes from injuries to the outer body. . You can feel an ache, throbbing sensation, or s sharp pain. Also, this type of pain is detected by the nerves located in the skin, tissues, and muscles. 

This pain is triggered by an acute injury or chronic diseases like cuts, bruises, arthritis, or joint injuries

Visceral pain

This pain is detected by nociceptors in the internal organs that contain sensory nerves and it sends the signals to the brain after an injury.

This type of pain can happen to conditions such as stomach infection, constipation, cancer, or internal bleeding. Although this kind of pain does not always appears in the affected area.

Treatment of different types of chronic pain syndrome
  • Physical therapy- is one of the best choices you can do when you suffer from long-time pain. They make you stronger and help you feel better. Physical therapist experts not only treat pain but it is also a source. They treat that area with certain exercises to ease pain and help you feel better.
  • Yoga- because it helps to relax muscles, encourage deep, increases mindfulness, and restorative breathing. According to the research, it shows that yoga helps you to reduce anxiety and depression that come with chronic pain s. 
  • Physiological therapy- physiological therapy can have a positive effect on mood. It helps a person boost mood. On the other hand, biofeedback is a type of therapy that teach your mind how to control body reactions. According to the study, biofeedback is beneficial for reducing muscle tension. 
  • Medicines- there are different medicine are available in the market to moderate your pain. One of the best painkillers is tramadol. That works by blocking the pain signals between the brain and nerves and makes you pain-free.
